Opportunity Description

Colorado Springs Health Foundation recognizes that food insecurity continues to increase in El Paso and Teller Counties. This special, one-time funding opportunity is designed to help address this challenge.

Your organization may be eligible to submit an application for this special opportunity if your organization operates an existing food program addressing food insecurity in El Paso and/or Teller Counties.  An “existing food program” is defined as one that involves dedicated staff and/or volunteers responsible for program operations.

Grant Process

Application:

The online application is available through CSHF’s grants portal.

Types of Grants Available: General Operating* and Program

*For an organization to be eligible to apply for general operating support, the vast majority of the organization’s work must occur in El Paso and/or Teller Counties and the vast majority of the organization’s work/mission must be related to food insecurity.

Important notes:

  • Deadline: Tuesday, Oct. 20 at noon MT.
  • Previously funded organizations do not need to schedule a pre-application call.
  • Organizations not previously funded by CSHF will need to schedule a pre-application phone call prior to submitting an application. Calls must be completed no later than Thursday, Oct. 15th. You may schedule a call with this link.
  • Funded partners with an open grant are eligible to apply.
  • Grant decisions will be made in November or December.
  • Grants will be awarded and dispersed by the end of the year.
  • Awardees will not know the amount of the special award until December.  The amount could vary widely.
